Pastoral Intern
We are seeking a pastoral intern.
This is a one year commitment with a 30 day trial period.
This is an unpaid, intern position. The church has three goals for this position:

To have a college age (18-24) intern in order to enable the church a way to reach that age group.

To practice our vision of discipleship.

To prepare a pastor for a potential church plant, or to eventually have the intern join on staff as a full time pastor, or to prepare the intern for whatever pastoral calling they may have and send them off joyfully.
What the intern gets out of it:
-
Experience in pastoral ministry.

Experience in teaching and leading bible studies.

Experience in preaching and teaching through sermons on Sundays.

One on one discipleship training which includes:
-
Biblical Hermeneutics training
-
Theology study
-
Preaching and teaching training
-
Pastoral and leadership training and development
-
Discipleship Training
-
Qualifications:
-
The less experience the better
-
Teachable
-
Some theology training/schooling is good, but not required.

Most importantly, a heart after God and a passion to study and teach his word.
Duties:
-
Preach Sundays occasionally (amount depends on various factors to be discussed).

Meet with the lead pastor weekly for training/discipleship.
-
Teach on Friday nights in a rotation with other teachers.

Various pastoral duties to be discussed.
-
General service duties such as helping set up for Sunday gathering.

Other duties to be discussed.
